I have been loved airplanes since I was a child. Participated in control-line modeling when I was an adolescent. When RC started taking hold, I was busy with work and a young family, so did not get into that until about 15 years ago. It has been so rewarding. I’ve built lasting friendships and have

I’m a designer/scratch-builder/plans designer, mostly of EDF jets. I’ve been flying rc since 1985. I’m also an Air Traffic Controller with 27 years in VFR Control Towers. Remote ID to avoid collision with commercial UAS and man carrying aircraft seems to be the driving force behind this rule. If 100% compliance is achieved, that still

This hobby is my creative outlet on a fixed income. The proposed regulations would severly limit both my flying options and locations. When I first started this hobby many years ago with my children this was our bonding time as I suspect it is with many other parents. From my own personal expieriences with model

The cost reduction in these components has brought the hobby to all. Which has lead to a large increase in flight in general, and more and more people are becoming interested in the hobby in all aspects, from teaching others to becoming professional pilots. The availability and readiness of the hobby has allowed this growth
Model aircraft have become a great hobby & source of creativity for me. I’ve been involved for about a year & I’m looking forward to many more years of enjoyment. I’m joining a club to fly at for fellowship & education but it’s over an hour away.

I fly (and have taught my kids to fly) primarily in remote rural areas… quads in my back yard and small RC planes on local agricultural fields when they are fallow. The cell coverage of these areas is poor, and usually there is not a house or another person in sight. My main comments to

I am 53 years old. I suffer from anxiety and severe depression. Flying quadcoptors has saved my life. When things are really bad there is nothing more soothing then getting out and flying. Being able to get outside, fly and laugh at myself always make life a little better. Being able to lose myself in

Amateur RC flying is something that we have done as a family. It is a unique hobby in that you don’t just go out and buy stuff and then play with it. You spend a good bit of time building, and learning the ins and outs of the hobby. Flying is obviously why we get

I started building RC airplanes shortly after high school but had to put it away due to life events. I picked the hobby up again 2 1/2 year ago after watching Flite Test videos. I enjoy the building of the planes almost as much as flying them. I’ve introduced this to my young nephews who

I acquired a love of aviation from my father. He worked with B-26 bombers in WWII and became a private pilot after the war. While he stopped flying when I was born due to expenses, he still would take me to the local airport on weekends, and we would visit the giant airshow in Oshkosh
