Flying is one of the most therapeutic things I have found in my life. No matter what problems you’re having stress burdens when you’re flying all you can think about is you and the aircraft. The world literally goes away for those moments. You are there , you are one with what you are flying.

Building/flying multi rotors has taught me patience as well as problem solving/trouble shooting skills I would have never learned before. Getting into this hobby has also taught me skills like programming and soldering electronic equipment. After learning how to build/repair my multi rotors it has also given me the skills to repair other household electronics

Flying has given me an opportunity to meet and become friends with a fantastic group of people and create life long relationships with truly great people. Without that and the freedom it has granted so many of us the world would be a worse place. And the last thing we need in our lives is

I love building and flying model aircraft with my friends and family. It’s a group activity with a strong social aspect. I’m keen to keep it safe and trouble-free. I don’t believe regulating hobbyists flying over a farmers field with their kids will lead to an increase in safety.

I fly in Maine, where cell based internet is spotty all over, and a good GPS lock sometimes can’t be had until you are above the trees (already flying). These regulations will kill the hobby. I guess the faa would rather kids go get into trouble instead of learning a fun and rewarding hobby.
