I have a drone class at my school and don’t have any place in our small town to fly with these restrictions. We don’t have any clubs or anything for us to fly with in town. If this gets passed the whole class with most likely get shut down.

I work in the UAV defense industry and have been a hobbyist pilot for over a decade. Flying as a hobby keeps me up to date on the new directions UAV manufacturers are pursuing. Flying is a great hobby for all involved. It gets our kids away from their electronics. Responsible flying should be the goal. I agree many folks either don’t care or are ignorant of the current rules. When it comes to the use of gps and units capable of flying beyond line of site, I believe
My Dad taught me to fly. I taught my 3 children to fly and now my grandson is learning. This is my passion. I feel sad to see our hobby being threatened.
