It’s great hobby with lots of STEM opportunities. Already an expensive hobby to get started in. Adding additional equipment may price some people out.

Model aviation is not only a hobby but many aviation engineers and pilots , including Astronaut Neil Armstong started with model aircraft. It teaches youngsters a lot of skills helpful in life, building, electronics, engineering.

I’ve been flying models since 1954 without serious incident…PLEASE don’t mess up my lifetime hobby..!!! It seems everything I want to do these days is overloaded with permits, taxes, fees, etc. I’m just an old, retired electrician with limited means, please keep things SIMPLE…????

The freedom to create me air craft all aircraft should be restricted to Ama certified air field with line of sight as it has always been allot of the field do not have the capability to have WiFi connection

Flying RC is motivation to get outside and my way to meet new people with a common interest. Without flying RC, I have no other desire to get out of the house and would sit at home watching tv and playing video games with very little interest in doing anything else.

I’m a private pilot. I fly traditional RC for the last 45 years. I have taught many a kid to fly RC who then found a career in aviation. These proposed rules are unacceptable for the traditional RC operation and will criminalize the law abiding pilot community. Shame on you FAA people, you should know

I’ve been flying for over twenty years. The hobby was passed down from my father and I hope to pass it on to my children. Flying RC is what sparked my interest in aviation and is what got me interested in the aviation industry. Without model aviation I wouldn’t have pursued a career in aviation.

I have built and flown model aircraft for 50 plus years. Never needed any of this before.
