Flying is a great way to introduce my children to STEM learning and recreate as a family

It matters to me because I have been flying at my local field and learning new things every time. Flying is an experience like non other which is why I do it.

I have been flying model RC Aircraft since 1968. I have met many individuals and families through this hobby that I would otherwise never encountered. We share build techniques, modifications, flying skill practices and electronic hardware experiences. Additionally we get the chance to show youngsters the hobby, the math, the building world and skill set

I’ve always dreamed of flying and don’t make much money so I enjoy the hobby it’s as close as I can get and with these regulations the equipment would be expensive and I would not be able to fly

I feel that the new rules are punishing everyone that enjoy and learn from this hobby for a few idiots that want to show off on social media.

Flying has for me always been a way to connect with like minded people, and to de-stress emotionally and physically after a long week. For me and many others, flying our models at the local field or even a park is a way to escape the cares of the world, if even for a moment.

I fly recreational and I live in a rural area – mostly cow pastures and farm land. There is no club in my area and no one else fly airplanes or drones in my neighborhood. I believe these regulations would put a burden on me to allow me to continue in the hobby.

I has been a learning experience and enjoyable hobby. it provides mental stimulation and relaxation. it also encourages kids to get involved and interested in flying, building, engineering and photography to name a few areas.
