I began flying rc in 2013 with a hobby zone super cub. This got me hooked on aviation in general. I began building rc planes from foam board, then began using insulation foam to make more sturdy models. This hobby has led me to pursue higher education, and I am currently studying aeronautical engineering at

I’ve been flying airplanes since high school (1981). I’m retired now and really enjoy it more with more time to do it. If regulated I feel would ruin the hobby and/or discourage new flyers altogether. Model airplane flying is totally different from drone flying as we always have a visual on what we are doing.
Its a great hobby. AMA-chartered flying sites pose no risk to USA Airspace and should not be subject to Remote ID Rule.
