I am a retired engineer that supports R/C hobbyists and students in my rural area. As a learning tool R/C aircraft are excellent. Aerodynamics, electronics, software, mechanical skills, group skills and more. I feel it is very important not to stifle learning and innovation in this field. Regulations will be best served buy including model

setting long range and FPV in the same category in the second to last question is not really a good idea. Long range is something where I would see remote ID as maybe neccessary. for FPV racing and freestyle there is absolute no need

I’ve flown drones all my life and frankly, trying to enforce something like this hobby, at this magnitude, is absurd. It is just going to creat bigger issues trying to make everyone have remote ID. The current laws aren’t even enforced. So how does the FAA expect these new laws to be enforced.

Flying models too me has been a big part of my life since I was very young. The dream was always to do like in står wars flying through the woods or down the death star trench. Fpv and model aviation has enabled this in a way I believe is safe and enjoyable. The hobby

I fly for fun, never put anyone or anything in danger. Why won’t I be able to fly around my own house? These regulations are going to destroy so many people’s love for the hobby. I never fly above 200 or 300 feet. I have no need to. I should have the freedom to fly

Remote ID should only be required for drones flying autonomously and where a pilot is not actively paying attention to the drone. Also it should be the responsibility of the hobbyist to stay out of paths of local flights that are autonomous and an app could be built to notify a pilot when there is

Flying is the number one activity that my son and I share. It allows us to spend time and bond with each other in ways no other activity does. It has also stimulated his interest in learning technical skills when we build our drones together, from soldering and mechanical construction to computer based tuning and

It is a great joy to fly short range low altitude.

Hello, I’m a middle age male who as been flying remote control aircraft and flying rockets since I was a kid. I currently fly with my children and grand children who really enjoy model aircraft. With the new rules as proposed our remote control hobby would no longer be permitted including flying rockets and kites.

Flying, particularly fpv allows me to escape, briefly from the stresses of my life. Building and developing craft helps my confidence and skills to increase. I meet and work with some inspiring people involved in the multirotor hobby who share my concerns. Even though I am UK based I feel a sense of worldwide unity

It’s a good hobby and hurts no one. Either way I’m gonna send it. So don’t make me break the law.

its a hobby, like anything, it can be a danger if done recklessly, eg biking. commercial interests in limiting the hobby shouldnt dictate the law
