“Remote ID should only be required for drones flying autonomously and where a pilot is not actively paying attention to the drone. Also it should be the responsibility of the hobbyist to stay out of paths of local flights that are autonomous and an app could be built to notify a pilot when there is a drone in a certain proximity to them. I would be ok with a “remote ID” if it was an app for your phone that keep track of where you were flying at and when. I don’t usually fly more than 100 yards away so it doesn’t make sense to track the drone around a relatively small flying area.”
