The new FFA rules amount to a power grab for corporate interests. While the hype sounding the new rules suggests this is for our safety, its really just a “Fear” tactic used to rob hobbyists of their rights. it is a fantastic hobby ive been flying models for over 50 years, i think the current regulations are a knee jerk reaction to to the current problems caused by drone flyers, so regulate the people who use drones not the safety consience model aircraft flyers
I have been flying fixed wing airplanes for 40 years. It has been a big part of my life. I have made life long friends and have helped educate children on flight. At all times my clubmembers and friends have acted in a responsible manner. There has been no problems until drones have become popular.
It’s been a great hobby for my son and I. It’s built a love of flying in my son so much so that he now wants to become a commercial pilot. I would hate to have to stop flying small foam RC planes with my son.
I want to teach my grandchildren about aviation and electronics. Small toys less than a few pounds should not be regulated.
