This hobby means a lot to my son and I. We spend time together building and flying FPV quadcopters and scratch-built foam RC airplanes. I believe the new FAA regulations will end this hobby as we know it. This while there is no credible danger to the public or the airspace from hobbyists. It makes

RC flying has been a great way to relax and hang out with friends. I have met many new friends through the hobby and have concerns with negative impacts to a hobby that is already struggling. I understand the concerns that are trying to be addressed with all of these regulations, but when it comes

Expression, relaxation, freeing, social, and educational. I build most of my models and that is both a learning opportunity as well as a therapeutic exercise of focus and thought. I get a chance to meet other pilots. Fly with them and learn skills. When I’m flying I’m free. It’s relaxing.
I used to drink. Now I fly. There’s no doubt in my mind I’d be dead if I didn’t discover rc flight. I’d sure like the option to continue flying safely and responsibly without breaking the law.
