“My profile- I do not fly drones or use cameras or autopilot. I use line of sight. I enjoy building my own planes as well as flying commercial-off-the-shelf. All of the planes I fly at public playing fields are electric. I am conscious that gas engines will disturb my neighbors so I do not fly any gas powered planes. Restrict the rights of many because of the few- I am concerned that a select few people who do not use good judgement impact the many who fly rc aircraft responsibly. Cost factor- Flying season in the midwest is seasonal and few of us have access to flying clubs due to distance and cost. The added burden of travel, membership dues, and additional electronics will make the hobby cost prohibitive.”
