“As a recreational flyer my participation in our hobby would likely end. I believe the AMA has a solid grip on safety and responsibility in the hobby. The safest place to fly is at an AMA sanctioned field. Pilots who pursue their hobby under the umbrella of the AMA at sanctioned fields are a responsible group with safety as their primary goal. I understand the concerns about reckless and dangerous flying by individuals who buy a ready to fly model and fly with little or no regard safety and responsibility. However, the solution to this problem is to educate, not regulate our hobby out of existence.”
