“I fly for 2 reasons. First, I enjoy the challenge of designing and building an original aircraft to fly around my personal property. I own multiple acres that I fly on and my flight has no impact upon the community. Second, I teach at-risk high school students STEM technologies and use drones as a vehicle to increase their interest in education. By making flight more restrictive, the FAA will destroy many STEM programs and push enthusiasts underground. The FAA should be promoting and making RC flight easier instead of trying to kill a hobby that encourages innovation and creativity.”
