“I started flying RC planes to join my son in a hobby he picked up at school. Nearly all of our planes are foam-build slow flyers, that we fly at our neighborhood park. With Remote ID requirements, the hobby suddenly becomes more complex to even get into, with casual hobbyists potentially being illegal without even realizing it. While I agree there needs to be some way to understand who is flying drones that are not near their pilots, I’m not convinced that this should carry over to all areas of the field.”
