“I’ve personally taught over 100 people to fly model aircraft. Several have gone on to fly commercial aircraft as a profession, several have gone on to be better students from the discipline they’ve learned from flying. It is sad if the FAA makes such a sweeping change as attempted in the most current nprm. There are methods to protect full scale aircraft and delivery drone flight while peacefully coexisting with model aircraft. Provisions should be made for those aircraft in non controlled airspace and those flying in shielded operations.
