“My flight experience started with a Cox control line model at the age of 9. I have been flying RC since 1977. As with the majority of RC fliers, I have never been involved in any kind of close call or accident. I believe the current reactions of the FAA are a combination of a knee-jerk reaction to irresponsible multirotor incidents and pressure from potential commercial delivery interests such as Amazon and Walmart. I feel like I am not adequately informed because although I read about it several times each week the information about possible regulation is difficult to digest and changes very frequently. I am extremely concerned about the possibility that any fixed site not registered within one year of the implementation of regulation is not permitted and no new sites will ever be permitted. Would that pass muster if golf courses were so restricted? I think not.”
