“My grandfather and I used to build model aircraft and fly together. He also was a private pilot and helped me get my license. I loved every minute being with him. I feel that if I lost the freedom that aviation gives me, I will lose that connection with my grandfather. He has since passed, and building and flying helps me relive and remember those memories that can never be had again or replaced. I have since had a son of my own and shared my love of aviation with him. He has grown up around flying as I did and shows the same passion that I have. I hope that that freedom will never be stripped from him. The future of model aviation is at stake, we must make our voices heard.”
