“Being a Hawaii resident, everything comes with an additional cost. Adding more required equipment will just make the hobby more expensive. I have registered my aircraft a few years ago when pilots were asked to do so. Being in a national registry should suffice. I live on the island of Oahu, where there are more military bases or military interests already restricting the available airspace for hobbyists. Currently there is only one AMA certificated airfield on the island which makes it an extremely crowded airfield. These proposals do nothing but make it more difficult and expensive to continue our hobby and I’m sure price some young enthusiasts out of the hobby. Register your aircraft? Fine. GPS tracking? Ridiculous.”
