“I learned to fly at a local hill, it was not a recognized flying site with any CBO, it was just a hill where guys would slope soar. This began an over two-decade-long fascination and obsession with all things in the air. I have since gone on to get my Private Pilot License, Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, and a job with one of the largest aerospace corporations in the world. In my job I use my hobby-RC experience to further aerospace research and investigate new areas of interest. I would not be where I am today, personally or professionally, were it not for my experience and background in the RC hobby. I have also been able to pass on my love of flying and aerospace to my son, who because of this is interested in being a future pilot or astronaut. If we are not able to share flight easily and often with the next generation, we will lose the future aviators, inventors, engineers, astronauts and more.”
