“I started flying helicopter back in the early 1990. I was out of the hobby until 2010 when I re entered flying helicopters. I became disabled in 2011. This hobby has been my therapy. Building and flying help keep my mind active. These rule will make flying cost prohibitive for most people. The big unknown is the additional cost of technology that to my understanding will be very expensive because of the research and development need to develope this tech. My biggest worry is the stifling of innovation and education. There are much more realistic ways that the FAA can achieve their goals without killing a hobby that has been around for 90 years plus.”
