“I built (and crashed) my first drone at 12. It took months to build, tens of hours of research; I had absolutely no clue what I was doing, but the idea that I could build something that could fly was far too fascinating to ignore. Fast forward 7 years and I’m here at the University of Michigan studying Aeronautics. Building and flying has gotten me to where I am now, and a lot of these regulations are seriously going to hurt the hobby.
We want to cooperate, and the vast vast majority of us are committed to safety.
The hobbyists are not the problem.”
