“I really do think this will bring an end to the traditional model hobby and make it very hard for people to enter into the nuts and bolts of the hobby. Pre-built aircraft like a DJI do little to teach the basics of flight and the hands on science, skills and even confidence to be able to build something with their own 2 hands. This will spill into the larger aviation scene as we have less and less skilled individuals. This aviation hobby is what feeds major aviation in this country and around the world. It is a growth of millions of jobs and the start of future companies that may impact our lives in unknown ways. Kill the hobby and kill aviation 25 years later. This is a bad plan that fixes nothing. Don’t crush the many for fear of a few.”
