“For me it not just the flying, it’s the building of an aircraft. The innovation, creativity, inspiration and excitement that comes with flying, building and learning for myself, my family and the students at my kids school in the aviation class. The current proposal would be too restricting for me and those around me to continue with this hobby. This hobby inspires all but more importantly kids to learn about flight and all that goes with it. With the current and future aviation shortages, putting restrictions on this hobby will cause regression for all parties involved. It seems to me that those who created the current proposal have not considered all aspects of this hobby and how it will affect current and future generations. For those that are flying RC aircraft as a hobby I can understand some basic education on responsible use, but to put the financial burden and restrictions are overkill considering our use and safety track record.”
