“I’m a Captain at American Airlines and I have to deal with the FAA everyday. I accept that I’m subject to regulations pertaining to utilizing the Air Traffic System properly and behave accordingly. Model airplanes are a passion of mine and I own over 30 mostly FliteTest designs of airplanes and quads. I’ve never felt at risk while piloting commercial transport jets by any model UAV or “drone”. In 12 years of airline flying I’ve hit many birds, but never even seen an RC anything. Ever. It’s not a problem that needs fixing.”
