“I have been flying for a hobby for the past 7 years. I have learnt to build and fly my drones to a high safe standard. I have never caused any person, aircraft or property any danger. I think the vast majority of hobbyist drone, plane or helicopter pilots are also flying with respect to the current rules and with other peoples safety in mind. These new rules and remote id will destroy the hobby and halt innovation with regards to hobbyist drones. Shops will close and people who fly for fun will be severely affected. There is no hobby that is like fpv or flying wings drones and helicopters, if remote id comes to pass in its current form I, and many others, will be without a much loved hobby. I am very concerned over these proposals and I believe that these rules should not be applied to models under 5kg to encompass the various forms of hobbyist remote control flight.”
