“I’ve been involved in model aviation for about 47 years, off and on. I couldn’t always afford it. I enjoy building as well as flying. I have several park flyers, several pre-assembled foam planes, several built from balsa kits and dozens that I want to build from kits or plans. I prefer scale and want to build several large scale. I have gliders that I fly from local slopes. I fly line of sight only. I fly in public places, open space away from structures and crowds. I would fly with a club but between army deployments and other things I couldn’t join for a whole year. I’m concerned with privacy of remote ID but mostly cost and complexity.”
