“Traditional RC airplanes have a good safety record and are not a danger when flown line of sight. The rules as written don’t allow flying at other than CBO approved flying sites for non ID aircraft and have no allowances for new flying sites, so it would not take long for there to be no approved flying sites when sites are lost. If ID is really required it should be by an inexpensive radio transmitter assigned to the flyer that can be easily attached to any aircraft, that does not require any subscription, and flying allowed at any place flying now occurs (private fields, parks, school yards, lakes etc.)”
