“I am mostly into recreational FFV Freestyle flying but also do mapping and photography for work (construction). I am from Canada and did aquire both my basic and advanced pilot certificate from transport Canada and also have my ROC A. As far as the information in the advanced catagory I found it very informative and good for flights inside controlled airspace. We have programs that make planing and setting up NOTAMS and contacting bodies for flying. I do find these regulations helpful and effective in managing a UAV in controlled airspace. As far as the recreational hobby end of it I always fly well below 400′ and mostly on private and rural land. Sometimes in public parks. I find as long as you are respectful in not flying over or near people and sharing public spaces it is very safe. Even in instances when sharing a public area I will offten approach the people around to let them know what I am doing and of course ask if they have any concerns and to not interfere with others enjoyment of public spaces. For the most part I find with that approach most are more than happy to share the public space and are often interested and amazed at what these crafts are capable of. So in closing I do believe that the major majority of hobbieists are respectful and can continue operations safely. Thank you for the opportunity to participate in this survey and I look forward to many more years of this wonderful hobby. Lee Berger”
