“I am a student at KSU Polytechnic in Salina Kansas in the UAS Engineering program and have recently joined the FPV community with a mulitrotor that I built myself. Both of these factors have led me to turmoil regarding the new proposed guidelines. The engineering student side of me wants there to be a more commercially regulated airspace regarding Unmanned Aircraft Systems, where the hobbyist fpv pilot side doesn’t want the hobby to be killed. I think a compromise on the regulations regarding home built aircraft will keep the honest pilots honest. The people that are currently not abiding by regulations in place will be unaffected by these new rules, it will only make it harder for those who respect the guidelines to enjoy.”
