“Started flying fpv at the beginning of 2018, while I was finishing school. Most of my schoolwork was on the computer, as well as the video games that I spend my free time on, so I didn’t really get outside much. Once I got into fpv I was consistently motivated to get my tasks done so I could go outside and fly before it got dark. I started racing a few months afterwards, and through the fpv racing part of this community I was able to meet many people, make lots of friends, and travel all over the country, things that i wouldn’t have done without this hobby. September of 2019 I was offered a job working for a drone startup company located in Nebraska. I was able to move out of my parents house in Georgia because of this job, which I was offered as a direct result of my experience in the hobby. These new rules would cause extreme detriment to existing hobby members, as well as new members which would in turn hinder education and job opportunities.
