“I’ve been in The Hobby for about 6 years and have made some amazing friends the sense of freedom I get from it is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. The hobby has helped me focus on tasks, learn new things and keep me from revisiting dark and detrimental things from my past. Without the hobby and the ability to fly freely, build, exercise, my creativity and experiment my life would have definitely gone a different and darker way. The freedom I get when I’m in the air or on the bench building without anyone telling me where to go or what to do or how to do it is liberating and it allows me to really enjoy life and gives me a great place to focus my energy. The thought of someone or some entity telling me how to fly how to build and what two bills is completely discouraging and it would likely cause me to lose all interest in the oven which may then lead to a regression in the improvements I’ve made in my life. I’ve never damaged anyone else’s property or hurt anyone since I’ve started flying. I have used excellent judgment in choosing conditions and locations to fly. Please don’t punish me.”
