“I am retired and living on a fixed income, and in my location (Oahu, Hawaii) we have just one dedicated flying site. The field is technically located within the airspace of a nearby military airfield, however it is located near the edge of the airspace and there is a mountain range between the field and the military airspace. The flying field has been at this location for decades and there has never been any issue with full scale aircraft, nor any issues with any complaints about RC operations at the field. Living on an island there are limits on fields to fly at, the properties are either federal, state or military. At present there is no alternative except at our present location for RC flying. I also work part time at at a local aviation museum as an educator and we have aviation and STEM programs for kids and RC is a big part of this program. Such regulations would put an end to this valuable program.”
