“I have gotten a couple of my young nephews involved in model aircraft construction and flying. It’s awesome to see them engaged and learning skills that seem to be lost on current generation. Surely their interest in a career in aviation has greatly increased. Most importantly to me, as a 30 year A&P mechanic, is their respect for the government and FAA in particular in that such a ‘big government’ blanket decision could strip away their freedoms that we expect as Americans. Not the lesson I want them to take away from this. Please look closer at the particulars of our hobby and legislate appropriately with the TRUE security and privacy concerns in mind.
