“One of my concern is how will this new regulation affect those, like me, that often fly outside the country and therefore outside the FAA jurisdiction, will the drone be disabled or restricted to fly since it can’t get the required validation? The same question applies to a remote location within the states where the cell signal is poor or doesn’t exists. If your current GPS location is outside the boundaries of jurisdiction then the RID should be fully disabled so the remediation seem simple and hope that is the case however sometimes the obvious is ignored.”
