“While i am Canadian and MAAC memeber, these regulations would force me to either leave my hobby at home if i visited the USA or not bother coming out at all. From an tourist/economic view i see it as a negative. Sure DJI and other similar products will be forced to comply, but my section of the hobby is about performance and free flight, meaning unnecessary complexity and weight is not good. Restrictions are only as good as the people who know and follow them. I believe education and enforcement of current regulations would be better than tacking on more rules. All that will be accomplished, i believe, is people abandoning the hobby or not following the rules.”
