“Flying matters to me because it has been an interst of mine for as long as I can remember. Ever since I was a little kid I’ve always wanted a toy airplane of some sort. One year I got one for my birthday and after that I was hooked. The problem was that it was hard for me to actually go and fly since I was a little kid and had to rely on my parents to take me. Then finally one day I crashed into a tree and never saw my plane again. Young me was devastated. As I got older I kept trying some other model planes but could never get the hang of flying LOS. Then I discovered fpv drones in 2017. Then after a year of wanting one I finally got my first prebuilt quad, then crashed and broke it within a week. I’ll admit that was a little heart breaking. However it was so fun that I didn’t let that stop me. I was going through a rough time around that time, in between jobs, the holidays were here, it was very stressful. FPV was one of the only things that helped me through that tough time. Its a combination of all of my favorite hobbies. Flying, building, and computer tinkering. Fast forward a year and I’m still flying. I’ve met new friends because of this hobby. I’ve learned a lot of new things. All thanks to one little quadcopter. I hope to continue to fly and learn about these little machines, as well as turn this into a business venture one day as I love it so much. The picture I’ve included is of my most recent build. It’s the most advanced drone I’ve built and wouldn’t have been possible without all of the knowledge I have gained in just one year.”
