“Our local flying club is very in in STEM education at the local schools and school field trips to our flying site. We also perform at the local airshow and we perform at festivals and other public and private events. This new regulations would kill this educational ability. Also, I am a private pilot with an instrument rating and complex endorsement. I currently own my own aircraft. I flew model airplanes for 20 years before I pursued my private pilot’s license. I would have never become a pilot and owned an aircraft had it not been for the hobby. Currently, we have ~40 members in our RC club and 8 of our members are pilots (2 are former airline pilots) and 2 are currently taking flight lessons.”
