“I left the RC hobby in my early twenties due to the high cost back then. 40 years later, I got back in the RC hobby because of how low the cost is now. My concern is with all the new FAA regulations the cost of RC will be prohibitive and I will have to leave the hobby again. I have been able to share flying with family and friends. One 13 year old boy in my neighborhood wants to be an engineer because of building and flying RC planes with me. He has started designing and building his own planes. This spark of a dream has become possible because of the low cost of the hobby. For every one story you hear like this, there are thousands you don’t. Great things happen when children are inspired to dream big.”
