“I have been safely flying radio controlled airplanes and gliders for 53 years. It is more than a hobby, it is a passion. I have traveled across the country participating in a wide spectrum of competitive events and made many close friends across our nation. My hobby matters to me because I simply love flying. I fly model aircraft, manned aircraft and camera-equipped sUAS. If it flies, I love it. In my nearly 6 decades of flying I have not once seen a manned aircraft threatened by a model. We do what we do safely and without conflict, but the FAA wants to end this great hobby with a one size fits all approach to remote ID.”
