“I am 53 years old. I suffer from anxiety and severe depression. Flying quadcoptors has saved my life. When things are really bad there is nothing more soothing then getting out and flying. Being able to get outside, fly and laugh at myself always make life a little better. Being able to lose myself in a build for hours and forget about all the issues I suffer from allows me to cope with life.
Most of the schools in my area have wide open areas. I fly there in the evenings and weekends when nobody is there. I don’t fly over people, property or anything like that. If somebody shows up to play or exercise I pack up and move.
I understand the need for what the FAA is proposing but going about it the way they are will impact me severely. There has to be a better way.”
