“My early experiences with building and flying model aircraft from the 1940s to the present have been and still are a very important part of my life. Full scale aviation development has followed model aviation development from its beginning. Model building and flying inspired me to get my private pilot certificate and eventually my Piper Cherokee. Now, at ‘80 years old, I can’t fly my full scale anymore, but I can still build and fly my scale model versions of my favorite aircraft. I hope for the foreseeable future!”
