“The love of Aviation in all its forms has been my passion since I was a child. Now at age 69 years my joy is to teach young folks how to build and fly radio model aircraft. Our earliest aviators often used model aircraft to develop and test the creations that became full scale machines that successfully took us to the clouds and beyond. I have been involved with Radio Modeling in particular since 1973. I have always held safe operation of my aircraft as highest priority and have passed that along to young pilots I’ve helped get started with this hobby. My main concern is that eliminating this facet of Aviation, in my view, will not provide a safer National Airspace environment. The regulations as presented very definitely would impose a financial burden upon me and my ability to continue to participate in a hobby that has been educational, challenging and satisfying to be a part of.”
