“My father started me with control-line flying when I was around 10 years old. Building model aircraft started even earlier. I progressed through building and flying control-line in high school, then built my own radio control system and taught myself RC flying in college. I have learned how to operate and service small internal combustion engines including glow and spark ignition. I have followed and utilized the development of more powerful and efficient electric power systems. Building model aircraft and flying them proficiently is a very satisfying outlet for my mechanical and electronic background. I have been a safe and conscientious model aircraft flyer for over 60 years. I would be disappointed to see this fascinating hobby be buried under restrictive regulation. Photo left to right is of myself, my younger brother and our father.”
