“As a airline pilot model aircraft played a big roll in my choice of career at a early age. Now my son and I build and fly fpv quadcopters and airplanes. If these FAA proposals went into effect the cost of the hobby and the lack of local flying spots would end the hobby for my son and I. We would lose out on multiple levels. Family time, education about aviation and engineering skills would all be lost to my son and his generation. I truly hope the FAA will consider how this will adversely affect the huge development and educational opportunities this provides for our sons and daughters. I know I would not be where I am if it was not for model airplanes and the introduction it gave me into aviation.”
