“I’ve been involved in the hobby for 30 years and I can’t help but wonder what the folks at the FAA are thinking. Do they really think that people with ill intent are going to abide by any rules. If it were that easy then why are laws broken everyday. It’s unlawful to take a gun into schools but has that stopped the crazies that have done so. Another thing I don’t understand Is enforcement of the rules they are making. Other than new government departments and taxes I don’t see what they hope to accomplish. Would the rules stop the nuts that recently shut down an airport with drones bother to equip their machines with the proposed equipment, silly stuff.”
