“Building and flying radio-controlled model airplanes is something my 13 year old son and I enjoy doing together. The fact that so much can be learned through the hobby about aerodynamics, electronics, and physics and at the same time create a passion to learn could have a significantly positive effect on his life (not to mention the bonding it creates between us). I understand that as the technology had improved, it has become easier for people who are less responsible to cause harm, but we limit our flying to line of site (although in excess of the 400 feet indicated in the proposed legislation). I am concerned that the legislation in its current form will make it unduly burdensome for us to continue with the hobby.”
