“Flying (specifically FPV multirotors) is interwoven in many aspects of my life. I’ve gotten my roommates to fly FPV. I reconnected with an old high school friend because of FPV. I run a car meet group and regularly use FPV to get amazing social media shots of our meets. I’ve taught myself CAD, 3d printing, and CNC techniques because of FPV. This is a hobby that constantly pushes me to learn more and try new things. It gives a whole new experience to other things that you might do, like going on vacation or camping and bringing my gear with me, so that I can experience new places from a point of view that I wouldn’t have otherwise. And at the heart of all of it is the escape that it gives me. It has been there to help me enjoy life when things aren’t going my way. It is a foundational part of my identity.”
