“This is beyond a hobby. I get my best bonding time with my children with this hobby. We fly our BNF aircraft as well as build & fly our own scratch builds. It has sparked an interest in the STEM fields in both of my sons. We must take notice that this hobby has done the same for many thousands of young Americans. Flying is also my emotional escape. I’m two years into my fight with cancer and this hobby gives me a chance to distract myself and not dwell on how much time I may or may not have left.”
