“I started flying u-control airplanes with my older brother when I was a young kid. From that point my life has been in some form of aviation. I’ve flown nitro, gas, turbine, and electric kit and ARF airplanes, helicopters, and multi-rotors. I’m a private pilot. When I served in the US Navy, I spent most of my time on an aircraft carrier. I’m an aerospace engineer. As one can see, my life has always had some form of aerospace evolvement. Oh yes, I’m now getting into high power rocketry. I’m so committed to this hobby, many years ago I became a Life member of the AMA. I’d hate to think that my life membership will go to waste here in the future. If the FAA was to come down with restrictive rules on the model RC hobby, I would give it all up and further despise the federal government. I do see the potential for safety concerns with the growing technology in the hobby. However, it seems a very small few within and outside of the hobby are creating the issues. It always seems that the majority pay for the problems of the few. I think that the federal government can spend their time and our money in more wise manners.”
