“My father introduced me to model aircraft (control line) when I was a kid, which gave me a lifelong interest in aviation. As a young man, I took up radio control and built many kits from small .049 powered models up to medium-sized .60 powered models. Later I built and flew my own single-seat ultralight vehicle, leveraging that experience to get a Sport Pilot certificate.. More recently, I got interested in quadracopters, I have built several scratch-built designs as well as flying Phantom/Mavic camera drones. I was one of the early part 107 pilots and continue to fly a variety of UAV aircraft.”
